Pay your housing rent
There are revisions to this service due to Coronavirus. Please see the current updates to our customer services on the page.
Set up a simple Direct Debit to pay your housing rent.
If the weather is bad or you are unwell there is no need to have to get to the bank, post box or Council offices to pay your housing rent, a Direct Debit arrangement does it all for you.
Direct Debit is a simple, safe and convenient way to manage your household bills or make regular or occasional payments from your bank account. You agree with the council the amount to be collected and the date of payment. From then on the amount will be deducted from your account as agreed. If the council needs to change the amount or collection date, we have to notify you first.
Complete the form and send it to us at: Uttlesford District Council, Council Offices, London Road, Saffron Walden, Essex, CB11 4ER.
If you use direct debit to pay for other council services (e.g. Council Tax or business rates), you will need to complete a separate form for each service you wish to pay for. Once you have sent us the form we will do the rest - it is that easy.
You can also set up a Direct Debit over the phone. Please contact our Customer Service Centre for more information about, and assistance with, setting up a Direct Debit.
