Anyone can have a fall, but as we get older, our risk of falling increases, and so does our likelihood of suffering a serious injury.

There are, however, a number of simple things you can do to help you stay steady on your feet.

There are seven key steps you can take to help reduce your risk of a fall:

  • Check your eyes and hearing
  • Look after your feet
  • Manage your medicines
  • Keep your bones healthy
  • Check for trip hazards
  • Tackle the fear of falling
