Notice of review of polling districts and polling places 2019
Notice is hereby given that Uttlesford District Council is to carry out a statutory review of polling districts and polling places within the Uttlesford District Council area in accordance with Section 18 (C) 1 of the Representation of the People Act 1983.
The Returning Officer will make a comment on proposed polling stations and has indicated an intention where possible to avoid the use of schools as polling stations and consider suitable alternatives.
Electors and interested organisations within the authority or within the Saffron Walden Parliamentary constituency may make a representation.
The council would welcome any person or body with expertise in access for persons with any type of disability to make a representation or to comment on the authority's proposals.
Persons or bodies making representations should, if possible, give details of suitable alternative venues that may be used as polling places.

7 October 2019 Closing date for initial comments on existing polling scheme
21 October 2019 Publication of the council's draft proposals and Returning Officers comments
21 November 2019 Final report on proposals and Returning Officers comments sent to Governance Performance & Audit Committee for approval
1 December 2019 Publish the revised scheme of polling districts and places and the statement of reasons
