Felsted Neighbourhood Plan referendum

Find out about the referendum on the Neighbourhood Development Plan for Felsted, who can vote and what you will be voting on.

A poll will take place in the parish of Felsted on Thursday 30 January 2020 to decide on the question:

"Do you want Uttlesford District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Felsted to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
 

Where to vote

Voting will be at the usual two polling stations: 

•  Crix Green Mission Hall, Crix Green, Felsted CM6 3JT
•  Felsted Memorial Hall, Braintree Road, Felsted CM6 3DS

Referendum timetable

Cabinet approval on the Felsted Neighbourhood Plan proceeding to referendum: Tuesday 26 November 2019

Publication of Information Statement: Tuesday 17 December 2019

Poll cards delivered: Around 6 January 2020

Deadline for new applications to register to vote: Midnight on Tuesday 14 January 2020

Deadline for new applications to vote by post: 5pm on Wednesday 15 January 2020

Postal voting packs sent out: Around 18 January 2020

Deadline for new applications to vote by proxy: 5pm on Wednesday 22 January 2020

Referendum day: 7am until 10pm Thursday 30 January 2020

The count will take place straight after the close of poll and the result will and be notified to Felsted Parish Council.

Notes

The Felsted Neighbourhood Plan Decision statement of the Local Authority's satisfaction that the referendum version Neighbourhood Plan meets the basis conditions specified by statute and complies with the provision made by or under Section 38A and 38B of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
