Public path orders in Uttlesford

Essex County Council have issued notices of the diversion of five footpaths in Little Canfield.

Footpaths 16, 25, 26 and 27 Little Canfield

The above orders, made on 21 October 2020 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will;

  • divert a part length of Footpath 16 Little Canfield of unknown width commencing from its junction with Footpath 25 Little Canfield running in a generally north north westerly direction across a field and close to the buildings of Moat Farm for a total distance of approximately 525 metres where it connects to Footpath 14 Little Canfield to an alternative route 2 meters in width commencing from the junction of Footpaths 25 and 27 running in a generally north north easterly direction along the field boundary for a total distance of approximately 537 metres where it connects to Footpath 15 Little Canfield.
  • divert a part length of Footpath 25 Little Canfield of unknown width commencing from where it connects to Footpath 27 Little Canfield running in a west north westerly direction across the field then a generally westerly direction through Langthorns Farm for a total distance of approximately 480 metres where it connects to Highcross Lane to an alternative route being 2 metres in width commencing at the field headland south east of Langthorns Plantery, running in a generally west north westerly direction along the field boundary for a total distance of approximately 192 metres to meet Highcross Lane.
  • divert a part length of Footpath 26 Little Canfield of unknown width commencing from where it connects to Footpath 27 Little Canfield running in a northerly then a west north westerly direction across the field for a total distance of approximately 233 metres to the field headland south east of Langthorns Plantery to an alternative route being 2 metres in width shown commencing at the same point running in a west south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 25 metres then continuing in a west north westerly direction then a northerly direction for a final distance of approximately 211 metres to the same point on the field headland.
  • divert the entire length of Footpath 27 Little Canfield of unknown width commencing from where it connects with Footpath 25 Little Canfield running in a south westerly direction across the field for a total distance of approximately 240 metres to its junction with Footpath 26 Little Canfield to an alternative route being 2 metres in width commencing at the same point running in a south westerly direction along the field boundary for a distance of approximately 194 metres then continuing in a westerly direction for a final distance of approximately 55 metres to the same point.

Footpath 29 Little Canfield

The above order, made on 21st October 2020 under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish a part length of Footpath 29 Little Canfield from where it connects to Footpath 16 Little Canfield running in an easterly direction for a total distance of approximately 198 metres to the footbridge which crosses the stream.
