UDC ward member grants available
Do you have a local community project or initiative that you need funding for?
Through the Ward Members Initiatives Grant, Uttlesford District councillors can each give up to £2,000 to support projects, activities and events which will directly benefit the community within their ward.
Donations can range from as little as £5 up to £2,000 to support everything from community events to much-needed equipment. The money can also be used to help groups and clubs with ongoing costs and general repairs.
Cllr Colin Day, Portfolio Holder for Communities, said "It has been a tough few months for everyone and we would like to thank all the groups who have provided support to their communities during this time.
"We know that many clubs, societies and organisations have unfortunately been badly affected financially by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our councillors have been encouraged to consider applications that seek to address some of the emerging issues that are arising from the pandemic, such as mental health and social isolation.
"We have this money available and we want to allocate it, especially at this time when I am sure it is much needed. Please do come forward if you think we can help you."
For more information about the grant or to discuss a funding request, please contact your local ward district councillor or call the council on 01799 510510.
