Public speaking arrangements for Local Plan meetings

The amount of time the public will be allowed to speak for at three upcoming Uttlesford District Council meetings has been extended.

The arrangements are relevant to the meetings of Planning Policy Working Group (PPWG) on 31 May, Cabinet on 12 June, and Full Council on 19 June. The Draft Local Plan will be the principal topic at each of these meetings.

At the Full Council meeting, councillors will be making a decision on whether to send the draft plan - called 'Regulation 19 Local Plan Pre-submission' - out to public consultation ahead of its submission to the government for independent examination.

Briefly, the public speaking arrangements for these meetings are:

  • PPWG - Thursday 31 May
    • Meeting scheduled to start at 6pm
    • Public speaking on the plan extended for up to 60 minutes (3 minutes each person)
    • Deadline for registering to speak - 2pm on Wednesday 30 May

 

  • Cabinet - Tuesday 12 June
    • Meeting scheduled to start at 7pm
    • Public speaking on the plan extended for up to 60 minutes (3 minutes each person)
    • Deadline for registering to speak - 12noon on Friday 8 June

 

  • Full Council - Tuesday 19 June
    • Meeting scheduled to start at 7pm
    • Public speaking on the plan extended for up to 90 minutes (3 minutes each person)
    • Deadline for registering to speak - 12noon on Friday 15 June
